Renault Nissan Technology and Business Centre India (RNTBCI) is partnering with T-Hub for the Renault Nissan Open Innovation Challenge. The objective of this programme is to identify and partner with growth-stage startups working on innovative technologies that can advance and impact the Automobile sector. These technologies include AI, IoT, Blockchain, RPA, Electrification, Big Data, AR/VR, Application Development, Cloud, New-age Materials, Alternative Fuel, Re-use and Retro Fit, Regenerative Design, Bio-based Materials, Upcycle, and Internet of Waste. The selected startups get a chance to collaborate and co-create innovative solutions with RNTBCI to accelerate its product development.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Growth-stage startups, from across India, innovating with new-age tech solutions that impact the automobile sector in the above mentioned focus areas.
Startups working with the following technologies are preferred for this programme: AI, IoT, Blockchain, RPA, Electrification, Big Data, AR/VR, Application Development, Cloud, New-age materials, and Alternative Fuel, Re-use and Retro Fit, Regenerative Design, Bio-based Materials, Upcycle, and Internet of Waste.
Each startup team must have at least 1 full-time employee. A full-time employee is defined as a person that maintains standard business hours working on the technology or venture (at a minimum, Monday through Friday, 9 am-5 pm).
Start-ups working on a product or technology that is novel in nature and is available off-the-shelf and addresses the problem statement are eligible to apply or take part.
The product or technology the startup is offering for consideration represents original ideas wholly-owned with the freedom to use or is licensed by the team.
Off-the-shelf ideas and ideas generated during scouting belong to start-ups. OEMs have the opportunity to license them from the start-up.Whereas ideas generated during PoC stage after OEM collaboration belong to RNTBCI
First and last-mile connectivity: Start-ups developing holistic and sustainable EV-based first and last mile mobility and business solutions for India.
Digitisation: Start-ups developing digital solutions to enhance and improve customer service processes that have a high probability of human error, thereby increasing accuracy and efficiency, reducing the cases of re-works, boosting scalability opportunities, and improving analytics and output quality drastically.
Mobility as a service with social impact: Start-ups developing superior, innovative, socially responsive day-to-day multi-modal mobility products and services that improve universal access (including the elderly, differently-abled), and safety and security (for women and children).
Circular economy: Start-ups designing and developing circular solutions that promote reuse, repair, and remanufacture. The aim of our circular activities is to extend the life of vehicles and components and keep materials in use, which will reduce pressure on the environment, improve the security of the supply of raw materials and increase business opportunities in multiple domains.

Startups can raise Corporate, or Government connect requests in a specified timeline during the program. We will do our best to facilitate such connections based on suitability and availability.
The grant is being given to selected start-ups with potential solutions on the focus areas. This grant money can be used for overall start-up development.
Proposed PoCs will be evaluated by the senior expert panel of Renault Nissan Technology and Business Centre India and will get a chance for GTM with Renault and Nissan.
